Tex Mosley brings Neverland to Culver City Cinema Bar

Whether he’s performing solo or as a member of his band, the wonderfully named Neverland Ranch Davidians, punk & soul man Tex Mosley is guaranteed to put in a wild shift. Bursting out of the LA punk scene, Mosley was in the Whores of Babylon with Keith Morris (Black Flag, etc), and members of local heroes the Hangmen. Mosley told the News about what we can expect at the Cinema Bar this time…

When did you start playing and performing? 

Music has been in my life since day 1. I started performing at age 16.  

Describe your sound/style?

[My band, the] Neverland Ranch Davidians are low-fi, streetwise, lower east side with a dash of Memphis Soul.

What are your career highlights so far?

Our full length came out in January on Heavy Medication Records out of Warsaw, Poland. Our second is due out at the end of 2023. The music is available on all streaming platforms.  

Have you performed at the Cinema Bar before?
Yes, a bunch of times with different bands. It’s a very fun place.

What can the audience expect from the set this time?

We are playing the Cinema Bar on June 30. We will be doing a bunch of new songs

What else do you have coming up?

The Redwood in August and a West Coast Tour soon after.
