Culver City police, responding to call about a man armed with a shotgun, shot a suspect who crashed a car into a nearby house on Jan. 17.
Officers were called at approximately 2 p.m. to a 7-Eleven store at Washington Boulevard and Huron Avenue that there was a man who was walking near the store with a shotgun. The suspect allegedly pointed the shotgun at the officers, who shot him three times in the upper body.
Other news outlets reported that prior to the shooting, the suspect crashed a car- later found to be stolen- into a wall in the 4000 block of Elenda Street and got out of the car with the shotgun.
Los Angeles County Homicide Lt. David Dolson said the suspect was taken to a local hospital and was in stable condition.
