Suspect arrested after robbery at Culver City church

The CCPD announced this week that they have arrested a suspect in an armed robbery that took place at Grace Lutheran Church, 4426 Overland Avenue, at 1:27 p.m. on Sunday, September 17.

“Officers arrived on the scene and learned that the suspect brandished a handgun and attempted to take the victim’s phone and wallet, and for unknown reasons, the suspect left without the property,” they said in a statement. “The suspect drove away in a gray sedan.”

The suspect was located and detained without incident, and then transported and booked at the Culver City Police Department.

“The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing considerations,” they said.
