14th Annual Children’s Earth Day

Celebrate the planet with the entire Los Angeles community at STAR Eco Station’s 14th Annual Children’s Earth Day, on April 6 from10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 10101 Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City.

The palm-oil free event features live performances by L.A. students, eco-friendly shopping, environmental organizations, celebrities, food trucks, local

leaders and more. With the mission of “preservation through education,” nothing in the L.A. area comes close to this family- friendly event. More than 20,000 people attended last year’s L.A. Times’ “Best Earth Day Pick” and L.A. Parent Magazine’s “Best Children’s Earth Day.”

Join STAR Eco Station, the casts of Disney Channel’s “A.N.T. Farm” and “Shake it Up,” Imani Hakim from “Everybody Hates Chris,” and more to promote green living with future generations. Powered by solar, the event will be packed with eco-themed games, crafts, rides and prizes. There will be eco-friendly vendors and environmental partners such as Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay, UCLA Astronomy Live, Planet Aid, and so many more to answer questions. This year, attendees can explore the indoor preschool zone and be amazed by the SAVE-fari Extravaganza animal show. Participanst will also meet more than 200 res- cued exotic animals on a tour of the STAR Eco Station.

Everyone at Children’s Earth Day can learn to be green and be a part of STAR’s palm oil free movement to save the rain- forest by educating the com- munity about the devastating effects that harvesting palm oil has on the world’s rainforests. Event admission is FREE, with discounted tours of the STAR Eco Station available for $5 per person.
