Spilling the (coffee) beans with Mr. Z

School board candidate Robert “Mr. Z” Zirgulis announced that he will hold coffee chats with prospective voters outside the Starbucks coffee shop in front of Culver City City Hall for the next four Sundays (Oct. 16, 23, 30 and Nov.6) from 10 a.m. until noon.

“I want voters to get a chance to meet me and discuss the important issues facing our school district,” Zirgulis said.

He added that he will be able to provide “documentation showing how the school board is wasting millions of dollars lawyering up on attorney fees to take adversarial positions against the teachers and classified employee unions, along with 72 cases involving special education disputes since 2005.”

Zirgulis is seeking information about waste, fraud and corruption with the assurance that he will keep informants’ identities strictly confidential.
