SoCal Honda Dealers to host back-to-school drives ’til Labor Day Weekend

CCN

To kick of the new school year, the SoCal Honda Dealers are hosting Back to School Supply Drives to provide muchneeded supplies to elementary, middle, and high schools across Southern California. The Helpful Back to School Supply Drives started Aug. 18 and will continue through Labor Day Sept. 1 at more than 50 Honda dealerships in Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties.

The SoCal Honda Dealers are excited to be hosting their first school supply drive. Supplies in Culver City can be dropped off at Miller Honda located on 9077 Washington Blvd. and will benefit Stoner Avenue Elementary School.

Neighboring Marina del Rey will also host a back-to-school drive at Marina Honda located at 5850 Centinela Ave. and will benefit Westside Global Awareness Magnet.

Each dealership will be filling big, blue bins with school supply donations to benefit a nearby school. Residents and community members are invited to join the Guys in Blue’s Random Acts of Helpfulness by dropping off paper, binders, pocket folders, backpacks, rulers, pencils, pencil cases, or other helpful items at their nearest dealer.

Making sure kids start the school year off with the necessary supplies is just another way the Guys in blue are helping out in the community. For the last eight years, the Helpful teams have surprised residents every week with unexpected acts of helpfulness, such as: recognizing deserving teachers over Teacher Appreciation Week; hosting holiday events for less fortunate kids and families; handing out complimentary pumpkins for kids at pumpkin patches across SoCal; opening doors for shoppers and handing out water on a hot day.
