The Culver City Sister City Committee will select eight seventh- and eighth-grade students to visit the city’s sister city of Kaizuka, Japan during the summer of 2012.

The dates of the exchange are July 20 through July 30. All interested students and their parents are invited to an informational meeting about participating in this travel opportunity in this 18th year of student cultural exchange between these two sister cities.

Students will learn about the Japanese lifestyle, language and culture while living with host families and touring cultural sites in the Kaizuka area, which is in the Osaka Prefecture, Japan’s second largest city.

Costs, requirements and other information will be shared on Dec. 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Dan Patacchia Room in City Hall. Applications can be downloaded from the Sister City Committee web site: culvercitysistercitycommittee.org.

Bring completed applications to the meeting. Contact Kathleen McCann at ccsccmccann@gmail.com for additional information.
