The Fiesta La Ballona Committee and the city of Culver City recently announced that Radio Disney (AM 1110) is returning to the celebration this year. Radio Disney was considered by many to be one of the most popular events at last year’s Fiesta.
Fiesta La Ballona, Culver City’s premiere street fair in the park, will be held Friday evening Aug. 26 through Sunday Aug. 28 in Veteran Memorial Park.
Radio Disney will be at Fiesta on Saturday, Aug. 27. They will appear on the Main Stage from noon until 2 p.m. with live entertainment, games and lots of prizes. From noon until 3 p.m., the Radio Disney and the Chevrolet booths will be located near the Main Stage with activities and giveaways.
New this year, Radio Disney will return on Aug. 28 from noon until 2 p.m. In conjunction with the Department of Boating and Waterways, Radio Disney will provide information, fun and games about boating and water safety.
Radio Disney is a 24-hour radio network devoted to children and their families. Children help select the music that is played and are encouraged to interact via a toll-free phone line to the Radio Disney studio.
The network’s current playlist, driven by listener requests and representing major record labels, includes recording artists Selena Gomez & The Scene, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Willow Smith, Jonas Brothers, Taio Cruz and Allstar Weekend. The network is available on more than 35 terrestrial radio stations and is also available via RadioDisney.com, Sirius and XM satellite radio on channel 79, iTunes Radio Tuner, mobile phones and on the Radio Disney iPhone and Android Apps.
