Police update on marijuana robbery

The Culver City Police Department issued an update on December 11, regarding the armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, December 6 at approximately 7:35 p.m., at the 3700 block of Robertson Boulevard. 

“The victim reported that he was unloading an estimated one hundred and twenty pounds of marijuana from a vehicle when two suspects exited a vehicle with handguns,” read the press release. “Suspect one is described as a Male, Black, approximately six feet tall, 20-30 years of age, wearing dark colored jeans, a black hoodie with white spots, and black ski mask. Suspect two is described as a Male, Black, approximately six feet tall, 20-30 years of age, wearing a white hoodie with dark colored marks on the upper chest area, light colored pants with a vertical stripe along the leg, white shoes, and a black ski mask. Suspect one pointed a firearm at the victim and both suspects took an estimated one hundred pounds of marijuana and loaded it into an awaiting silver Honda Accord driven by a third suspect. All three suspects fled in the suspect vehicle southbound onto Robertson Avenue and out of view.”

CCPD detectives captured the suspect vehicle information. They reported that the vehicle information was entered into law enforcement data systems as wanted in connection to this crime. 

“Utilizing a license plate reader camera system, Vacaville Police located the suspect vehicle and detained the driver on December 7, 2023,” they said. “The suspect was booked for outstanding warrants for firearm and marijuana possession and the felony warrant for the robbery that occurred in Culver City.”

There are three suspects, carrying handguns. The vehicle was a silver Honda Accord, and they took approximately 100 pounds of marijuana.
