Police respond to several burglary calls

Vandalism

On Feb. 25 at 7 a.m., a victim came to the police department to report her 2011 BMW had been vandalized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 6200 block of Bristol Parkway on Feb. 17 at Noon. When she returned on Feb. 25 she discovered her tires had been slashed. Residential Burglary On Feb. 27 at 2:11 p.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Blanco Way regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she locked and secured her residence at 10 a.m. When she returned at 2 p.m. she discovered her garage door was opened and her property missing.

Residential Burglary

On March 1 at 12:12 a.m., officers responded to the 8900 block of Hubbard Street regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she had left her residence at 7 p.m. and her daughter left at 10 p.m. and the residence was locked and secured. The victim returned at 12:05 a.m. and discovered the rear door was opened and had been damaged. Once inside she discovered her property missing.

Theft

from Motor Vehicle On March 1 at 3 p.m., a victim called the police department to report the theft of his catalytic converter. The victim said he parked and locked his 2012 Honda in the area of Matteson Avenue and Prospect Avenue at 1 p.m. When he returned at 3 p.m. and started his car it was making a funny noise. He checked and discovered his catalytic converter was missing.

Theft of bicycle

On March 2 at 6 p.m., a victim called the police department to report the theft of his bicycle. The victim said he left his bicycle locked and secured in the 3200 block of Helms Avenue on Feb. 28. When he returned on March 2 he discovered his bicycle missing.
