Alumni Mentor Johanna Reyes is running the L.A. Marathon on behalf of Inside Out! Please take a moment to sponsor Reyes. She’s set a goal of raising $500, so every $20 helps her reach her goal.

Reyes has been a student with Inside Out since she was in middle school. Now she is in college and part of the Alumni Mentor Program, which provides a supportive artistic community for promising young men and women who are graduates of Inside Out’s middle school arts education program. As Alumni Mentors, they are trained to work in the classroom as “teaching assistants” alongside Inside Out’s Artist Leader.

The Alumni Mentor Program’s goal is to continue to provide a nurturing community of peers and adults that support and encourage the mentors dreams, their pursuit of higher education, creative endeavors and rewarding careers.

Listed are a few examples of how a contribution can make a difference:

– $50 can purchase new props and costumes for a performance.

– $100 can pay for a student’s room and board at Inside Out’s annual camping trip in the Santa Monica mountains.

– $250 will sponsor a high school student’s yearly participation in a mentor-leadership training program.

– $500 can purchase a computer for our Teen Media Initiative technical training program.

– $1,000 – will sponsor a student’s participation in our after school program including all workshops, a field trip, and final performance.

This year Reyes is running on behalf of Inside Out in the Los Angeles Marathon. She is seeking sponsorship for her and the countless other students who so greatly benefit from Inside Out programming. To make a contribution, persons interested can do so by visiting: www.crowdrise.com.
