A two-car collision that took place on Wednesday, July 24 on the Marina Freeway resulted in a death, the police said.
As reported by Westsidetoday.com, the incident happened at approximately 11:26 p.m., “when a white pickup truck reportedly side-swiped an SUV, causing the SUV to slam into an electric pole, according to the California Highway Patrol.”
The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the freeway at the Slauson Avenue on-ramp. California Highway Patrol and CCPD officers responded in conjunction.
The authorities are still investigating and, at the time of going to press, the cause of the collision is unknown.
