The “Magical Mystical Marvelous Mayhem” will be hosted by the Friends of the Culver City Youth Health Center during the group’s annual major fundraiser on Saturday, March 15 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Culver City. The Saint Patrick’s Day themed event begins at 5:30 p.m. and will honor State Sen. Holly J. Mitchell for her tireless efforts in the field of health and services for children and families, as well as for her support of the Health Center.
A silent auction will take place and music will be provided by Ronnie Jayne, well known entertainer and Culver City resident. The event is a no host bar and will continue include dinner and additional entertainment.
Noted cabaret performer and songwriter Ray Jessel will delight with his Irish flavored songs and humor. Mr. Jessel has years of experience writing comedy and music for many television shows and specials.
A unique online auction that begun Feb. 22 will be part of the fundraising effort. The website is www.biddingforgood.com/CCYHC4. Items on the site include restaurants, vacation, and household bargains.
All proceeds go to the Culver City Youth Health Center located on the campus of Culver City Middle and High School. The Health Center is operated by the Venice Family Clinic and provides free, quality health care for Culver City students. Some of the services offered are physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing tests, care for ongoing illnesses and conditions, prescription medications, and mental health counseling provided by the Los Angeles Child Development Center.
