The Board of Supervisors accepted a one-time gift of $215,000 from the Friends of the Culver City Julian Dixon Library on March 17. County officials recommended accepting the gift, which will pay for furnishings at the Julian Dixon Library, which is currently undergoing renovations.

“The furnishings will greatly enhance the Culver City Julian Dixon Library,” Los Angeles County Acting Executive Officer Patrick Ogawa wrote to Nancy Kuechle and Elaine Hirohama, co-chairs of the volunteer library group. County policy requires all gifts of $10,000 or more be submitted to the board for approval.
