Teacher support for CCEF
Bravo and thank you to the Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF). I am a teacher with the CCUSD and as we enter our third week of school, I can honestly say that my daily work-load has become much more efficient due to a generous donation from the CCEF.
The Middle School received several new Elmo projectors and LCD projectors for the Math, Science and Language departments. I was one of the many recipients and I had no idea how much of a time saver this new technology would be.
My 6th grade Language Arts students are enjoying the benefits, too. With the new technology I can immediately show their individual work to an entire class as a teaching/learning tool. I no longer have to transform materials, articles or samples on overheads, saving both time and money.
Please join me in supporting CCEF’s “All For 1” Campaign. As a teacher and a parent, I have already made my monthly pledge; it takes a community to keep our schools great. It is as easy as going online to the website: ccef90230.org/donate.

Art in schools is important
My husband and I both work for organizations that support arts education in schools. When it came time for our son to go to school, we wanted be a part of a community that shared our commitment to making creativity and dance, music, theatre and the visual arts a part of the teaching and learning for their students. So we moved to Culver City.
Because CCUSD is a district that supports teacher professional development in the arts, a district intertwined with their community arts organizations and a district with a support system like the Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF), choosing where to move was easy.
Thanks to funds raised during last year’s All for 1 campaign, CCEF provided musical instruments as well as support for technology and academic software to every school in the district. This year, the funds from the annual campaign will be directed to science, technology, arts and math, deepening and sustaining Culver City USD’s excellent, diverse and challenging educational programs.
Because CCEF supports a quality education for all students, I support them.

Ten dollars is all it takes
Janet and I have seen the impact of the Culver City Education Foundation. We know firsthand the difference that it makes for our schools.
Over many years the Education Foundation has continued to demonstrate it’s commitment to the students of CCUSD.
Everyone who has made a contribution to the Education Foundation can proudly state that they have made a difference. Our association with CCUSD over the last 30 years continues as our family has 2 teachers and 5 grandchildren in the District who directly benefit by everyone’s participation.
As we all know, the State financial picture puts many challenges in front of our schools. There are no prospects that the funding for our schools will improve in the near future. Our contribution to the CCEF is more important than ever!
The time is now for us to make a difference and have our money stay right here in Culver City. The Ed Foundation’s All for 1 Campaign is just the “one campaign” in this election year needed to make real change happen.
If each family were to donate at least $10 per month per student, we would help the Ed Foundation reach the goal. That is not much to sacrifice to help our most valuable asset, our children.
It has been said that the 1 Million Dollars is already here in Culver Unified School District, all we need to do is reach into our pockets once a month and set aside $10 for each student in our household. So the question is how important are our children and their education? It is now time to act.
