The League of American Bicyclists (League) recognized the City of Culver City with an honorable mention as a Bicycle Friendly City in 2014 and 2012.
The City received high marks for the large number of daily bicyclists and the adoption of a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. As a result of the recognition, the City was selected as one of 100 cities to participate in a site visit from the League at no charge.
The site visit included an overview of the City’s accomplishments in bicycling, an eight-mile bike ride within the City and finally a follow up discussion about ideas and recommendations from the league. These recommendations were aimed at improving the bicycle and pedestrian vitality within the City.
