The annual meeting of the Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center
featured an informative program on teen use of marijuana, presented by Dr. Sarah Carpenter, Adolescent Medicine Specialist, at the Culver City Middle School campus.
The evening program included many questions and comments from those in attendance.
After the presentation, Anne Allaire, Culver City School Board president, installed the 2019 Board of Directors. Dr. Carpenter will again lead the group.
The Friends group serves as the fundraising arm of the Health Center, which is located on the Middle and High School campus.
Free physical and mental health services, as well as health education, are provided to children living in Culver City or attending Culver City schools.
The nonprofit Center is supported through donations.
