Google building gets new landlord

The iconic mid-century Google building in Santa Monica is changing hands.

Noncom Properties has sold the property to Hudson Pacific. Both companies were represented in the transaction by West Los Angeles-based Lee & Associates, the largest broker-owned commercial brokerage firm in the United States.

The 45,000-square-foot building, located at 604 Arizona Ave. in Santa Monica, was built circa 1950 by design firm AC Martin and has hosted many companies including General Telephone, Treasury Services and Oracle Corp. It currently houses Internet search engine company Google. Lee & Associates West L.A. will retain the leasing services for the new owner.

“This building has a rich history in this vibrant Los Angeles-area town and Hudson Pacific sees great future potential,” said Duncan Lemmon, president of Lee & Associates West Los Angeles. “It is an outstanding creative space in a top-tier, high-demand Santa Monica market that future entertainment and tech-related tenants will find very attractive.”

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Lee & Associates will retain the leasing services for the new owner.
