Dave White, panel will concentrate on disaster preparedness
By City Staff The city of Culver City is hosting a Speaker Series based on the successful GPU Prelude Series of 2018. In the second event in this series, Fire Chief David White will lead a panel on emergency preparedness from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the Culver City Senior Center, Room B47/B45, 4095 Overland Blvd., Culver City. If a large scale disaster were to strike Culver City, would you know what to do? If you were told to evacuate, would you know where to go? What if you had to shelter in place – do you have enough food and water for your family? Join us and get the information you need to make informed, rational decisions in times of high stress. This series is intended to inform, educate, and create a common dialogue around issues of importance for everyone who lives, works, plays, and/or learns in Culver City. The entire community is invited to join in the discussion! Complimentary on-site child care can be arranged in advance. Interested parties should RSVP for this event. The Culver City Senior Center is located directly on Culver CityBus Lines 3 and 7 and the LADOT Commuter Express and is a 5-10 minute walk from Culver CityBus Lines 1 and 5, Metro Bus 33 and 733, and Santa Monica Big Blue Bus R12.
