A final tribute to the renowned conductor Frank Fetta will take place at the Burton Chace Park in the Marina on Thursday, Aug.4 at 7 p.m.

Marina del Rey Symphony will present a program of favorite film music with guest conductor Clyde Mitchell, Music Director of the Lionsgate Sinfonia in Vancouver, Canada and featuring the world premiere of a monumental score to the iconic Buster Keaton silent film classic ‘The General’ by local composer Craig Safan.

The screening in 2019 of Craig’s score for the 1925 si- lent film ‘Phantom of the Opera’ was a huge success and the LA County Department of Beaches and Harbors who produce these summer events requested a similar program this year as a Welcome Back to the Concerts at Burton Chace Park.

The film will be screened on two giant videotrons for the audience on the lawn under the stars with the seals and boaters.

The concert is free and Burton Chace Park opens at 5 p.m.

Burton Chace Park is at 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina Del Rey. Business phone is 424-526-7903.
