Duchess Von Damn is one of the defining pillars of the Angel City Derby Girls. She is a skater who contributes endless amounts of time and love to the business and sport of roller derby, and so often does not get recognized because she is busy praising others.
Duchess is ACDG’s resident “pint sized powerhouse.” She has been with the league since 2007 and has seen many evolutions of ACDG.
She was a part ACDG’s now defunct home team Block Steady Crew, and was on the original travel team called the Road Ragers, before the name “Hollywood Scarlets” was adopted.
She captained the team for 2 seasons, and is a member of Angel City’s leadership panel. She is an incredibly powerful roller derby player, a shrewd and fair business-woman, and is a master as crafting creative skate-outs—the “roll call” of all the players before a bout.
When not fulfilling her regular day-job and leadership panel responsibilities for the league, Duchess guest-coaches for different levels of the league and shrieks with delight every time a girl learns how to land a sternum block.
She has lived through the good times and the bad with ACDG, and helps guide us toward a better future.
