Fiesta La Ballona, Culver City’s “Party In The Park” will be held Aug. 26-28 at Veterans Park, 4117 Overland Ave. in Culver City. The popular City event features live music, food trucks and a variety of food concessions, a beer and wine garden, carnival rides, artisan wares, and many family-oriented attractions for all ages. Admission and parking are free.
Last year, Fiesta attracted 30,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. Fiesta attendees always enjoy family-friendly activities, an extensive showcase of local organizations, a weekend dance party, roving performers, and diverse dining choices. Fiesta promotes recycling and makes conscious environmental choices by being a zero waste event.
Fiesta La Ballona began as a weeklong celebration of the region’s early settlers and has evolved into a three-day festival that kicks off the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 26 and closes down Sunday night, Aug.t 28. Fiesta is named after the La Ballona Creek, an 8.8-mile waterway that flows through Culver City. Fiesta hours are 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (carnival rides start at 6 p.m.) on Friday, Aug. 26; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27; and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28.
The City of Culver City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and the Fiesta La Ballona Committee organize and produce Fiesta with the support from scores of volunteers.
