Crime Blotter for June 10 through June 17.
Residential Burglary:
On June 10 at 10:20 a.m. officers responded to the 4400 block of Jasmine Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she and her son left her residence locked and secured at 9:40 a.m.. When they returned at 10:20 a.m. she discovered the front door opened and saw some of her property on the floor. She also saw her property was missing.
Assault:
On June 11 at 1 a.m. officers responded to the 3900 block of Sawtelle Boulevard regarding an assault investigation. The officers met with the victim who told the following; he was visiting his friend when there was a knock on the door. He opened the door and the suspect just started to strike him went a closed fist. The suspect then fled the location. The suspect was described as a male, white, 20 years of age, 5”11, 170 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes.
Car Burglary:
On June 13 at 1:05 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 2011 Volkswagen was burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 9800 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. When she returned at 1 p.m. she discovered her front passenger window had been smashed out and her property missing.
Stolen Car:
On June 11 at 7:20 p.m. officers responded to the 4000 block of Elenda Avenue regarding a stolen motorcycle investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he parked and locked his motorcycle at 4 p.m. When he returned at 6:40 p.m. his motorcycle was missing.
Vandalism:
On June 14 at 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Overland Avenue and Barman Avenue regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the manager who arrived a few minutes after the officers from the smashed window. The manager said when he left the location there was no damage.
