Crime Blotter for July 16 through July 22.
Car Burglary:
On July 17, at 2:30 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her Ford had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 6100 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 1:30 p.m. When she returned at 2:30 p.m. she discovered her rear driver side window had been smashed out and her property missing.
Residential Burglary:
On July 18, at 1:45 p.m. officers responded to the 11300 block of Stevens Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she locked and secured her residence at 10:45 a.m. When she returned at 1:45 p.m. she discovered her front door was unlocked. She entered the location and discovered her property missing.
Vandalism:
On July 19, at 9:16 a.m., a victim called the police department to report his 2000 Jeep had been vandalized. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 4000 block of Elenda Street July 18, at 9:40 a.m. When he returned the next day at 6:15 p.m. he discovered his driver’s side mirror had been damaged.
Stolen Vehicle:
On July 20, at 9:30 a.m., a victim called the police department to report his 2004 Toyota had been stolen. The victim said his son parked and locked his truck July 19, at 9 p.m. When he returned the next day he discovered his truck was missing.
Street Robbery:
On July 20, at 9:15 p.m. officers responded to the area of Washington Boulevard and Fay Avenue regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told the following; he and his friend were walking southbound on Cattaraugus Avenue approaching Washington Boulevard when they noticed two subjects following them. The subjects caught up to them to empty their pockets, then suspect#1 threaten to shoot them if they did not comply. Fearing for their safety, they gave suspect #1 their property. The suspects then fled the area. The suspects were described as 2 male Blacks, 18-19 years of age, 6’0, both wearing dark clothing.
