City Clerk’s Office accepting applications to fill two vacancies

The City Clerk’s Office announced the application period for two vacancies on Culver City Commission, Committee, and Boards will take place until 5 p.m. on Friday Oct. 24. Late applications may not be accepted.

Applications are being accepted for the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission-Seat 1, for an unexpired term ending on June 30, 2016. In addition, applications are being accepted for the Disability Advisory Committee–Seat 9, for an unexpired term ending on June 30, 2015.

Appointments for the openings are tentatively scheduled to be considered by the City Council on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 and applicants are encouraged to attend this meeting.

New appointees will be required to attend a Brown Act/AB1234 Ethics training, at a date and time to be determined. Also, appointees may be required to provide financial disclosure information.

Additional information and applications are available in person during business hours from the City Clerk’s Office, located on the first floor at City Hall at 9770 Culver Blvd. Applications may be requested by phone at (310) 253-5851 or can be obtained on the City’s website at: www.culvercity.org.

Business hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. City Hall is closed on alternate Fridays during the application period. Each body has a unique application form. Please be certain to complete the correct application form(s) for the seat(s) you are interested in.
