Several runners on Culver City High’s boys and girls cross country teams set personal records in last Saturday’s Palos Verdes Invitational two-mile race at Lunada Bay Park.
Running the course for the first time was senior Cody Lewis, who had a time of 11 minutes and 31.28 seconds over the hilly and steep course. Jeffrey Asai had a personal best of 11:53.23 and senior Robert Oliver completed it at 11:59.13.
Sophomore Kevin Cortez smashed his personal record by 2:41, clocking 13:52.89 and senior Sam Captoli ran in 11:59.98. Junior Robert Hale also did his best time, 13:03.75.
