CCPD help unhoused woman

The Culver City Police Department released a statement on Thursday, June 13, reporting that their Mental Evaluation Team had collaborated with the VA (Veteran’s Affairs) and LASD Mental Evaluation Teams to help an unhoused woman who had been offered services on a bus bench on Overland Avenue a few weeks ago.

“Fortunately, when the team reached out to the woman on Overland Avenue again today, she was receptive to services and is currently on her way with VA staff to receive resources,” the police said. “This a fantastic example of multiple city departments working together towards a common goal. As a result of their collaborative efforts, an unhoused veteran is being connected with housing and services.”
