CCHS hosts college night

Culver City High School will host its annual College Night and College Fair on Monday, Sept. 24.

College Night is for seniors and juniors to understand the University of California and the California State University applications.

This workshop will include information on how to complete these applications accurately online and a discussion of the UC essay portion of the application.

The workshop will be held in the Robert Frost Auditorium from 5 to 6 p.m.

The College Fair, an additional portion of the evening, is a great opportunity for all students and parents to gather lots of useful information from a number of colleges in a single evening.

In addition to gathering brochures and flyers about colleges, students can meet one-on-one with admissions representatives at their booths to discuss entrance requirements, campus life, application deadlines, and majors.

Students and parents can also gather information regarding financial aid, possible scholarship opportunities and ask any additional questions that you may have.

This year, 110 universities, including more than 50 out-of-state schools, will be part of the event. Seniors and juniors attend the fair from 6 to 8 p.m. and freshman and sophomores attend from 7 to 8 p.m.
