Christmas will be coming early this year as the Culver City Woman’s club sponsors a trip to the Mission Inn located in Riverside, California on Friday, Dec. 5. The historic hotel is famously decked out every year in holiday finery.

The public is invited to take part in this excursion that will leave from the parking lot of the Culver Palms Methodist Church located at 4464 Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City at 7:30 am. The cost of the trip is $65.

Upon arrival there will be a behind the scenes tour of the landmark building. This will be followed by a buffet lunch, which will be served in an elegant private dining room. Afterwards there will be time for gift shopping in the mall adjacent to the hotel.

The Culver City Woman’s Club is primarily known for its philanthropic activity. Every year it sponsors scholarships to students of Culver City High School. Additionally, it makes donations to many local and national charities. The Club also sponsors social and cultural activities and is open to residents of Culver City and surrounding areas.
