The risk for memory loss increases as people age. Getting answers to important questions concerning age-related memory concerns is only a step away. A free community forum to address memory concerns is slated for Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Culver City Senior Center, 4095 Overland Ave., Culver City.

What can we do now to keep our brains healthy? Are there foods that we can eat that will help our memory? What do we do if we see signs of memory loss?

The forum, titled “Brain Health and Alzheimer’s Disease,” is hosted by Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles. The keynote speaker is Dr. Edmund Teng, co-director of the Katherine and Benjamin Kagan Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment Development Program at UCLA.

Dr. Teng will share the latest research that explores what helps our brain as we age and what we can do to reduce memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease.

The event will include a health and resource fair with booths that will provide information about caregiving, clinical trials, assisted living, financial and legal planning, and other services that are available to the community.

For more information or to register for the event, please contact Kimiko Kelly at 323-930-6259 or kkelly@alzgla.org.
