Senior Center Holiday Music

The Yiddish Group invites everyone to the Festival of Lights , Dec. 7 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Center; the Holiday Talent Showcase will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. and the big Holiday Party will be held on Friday, Dec. 14 at 11:30 a.m. with tickets on sale for $3.50 at the business desk at the Senior Center.

The Colburn School of Music will provide a chamber music concert Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 1:30 p.m.

The Culver City High School AVPA String Orchestra will perform on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.

And the What the Dickens Caroling Group will perform from 12:15 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the Saturday dance on Dec. 22.

Senior Center Pool Tournament

The 13th Annual Seniors versus Safety Pool Tournament will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, beginning at 9 a.m.

Teams from the Culver City Fire Department, Culver City Police Department and members of the Culver City Senior Center will engage in a friendly competition to see who is superior on green felt!

Senior Center Support Groups

The Culver City Senior Center is pleased to announce two new support groups for members.

“Supporting Each Other” will provide a safe environment to share and discuss general issues of aging and “Young & Active Seniors Supporting Each Other” will be geared toward challenges and topics of interest to our younger members.

Senior And Social Services

RSVP Specialist Jill Thomsen completed the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination and is now a Certified Food Handler.

This certification is given by the National Restaurant Association and allows Jill to serve as backup for the Culver City Senior Nutrition Program, which serves 80 to 100 clients each week.
