Accelerating the new green economy

             Los Angeles will get Earth-friendly this week. Opportunity Green 2011 will take place downtown on Nov. 10 and 11 with prominent speakers that include Don Cheadle, award-winning actor and United Nations Environment Programme ambassador.

         Opportunity Green is the preeminent multi-disciplinary sustainability conference facilitating an exchange of industry-best practices, ideas and business models in the midst of Fortune 500 business leaders and green entrepreneurs as they gather together to learn from speakers at the top of their fields, meet exhibitors displaying the latest innovations and collaborate about how to accelerate environment-friendly business practices, clean technology and innovation.

         Presenting case studies and best practices for sustainability will be Ben Packard, Starbucks’ vice president of Global Responsibility; Nike’s Hannah Jones, vice president of Sustainable Business  & Innovation; Cindy Ortega, Senior vice president of Energy/Environment at MGM Resorts International; and NRG Energy’s CEO/president David Crane.
