A decapitated corpse was discovered along one of Culver City’s busiest thoroughfares on Dec. 3
A call to the Culver City Police Department at 2:56 p.m. alerted officers to the body, which was found at 12001 Washington Blvd., not far from Kaiser Permanente Hospital.
The preliminary cause of death appears to be suicide, said Culver City Police spokesman Lt. Ron Izuka.
Izuka confirmed that the victim had been decapitated.
“As far as we know, the cause of death was by hanging,” the lieutenant told the News. “Our detectives are continuing their investigation.”
Police say the victim appeared to be a male in his early- to mid-40s.
