The Culver City varsity football teams’ regular season starts Friday at West Torrance.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.  The Centaurs, who are coming off a hard fought scrimmage against Mira Costa last Thursday, will be led by All-Ocean league quarterback, Jonathan Martin.

Martin will be handing the ball off to running backs Brandon Oum and Nick Bradley.  He will pass the ball to Deven Osborne, Charles Ross, Steven Ashy and super sophomore Kevin McGuire.

“We are looking forward to getting the season started,” said head coach Jahmal Wright.  “We have a very balanced team this year and we are looking for big things from this team.”

On defense the Centaurs will be led by nose tackle Jayden Porter, linebacker Elijah Zavala and defensive backs Mekhi Ware and Justin Cox.

Culver City’s next game will be at home against Torrance, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m.
