The Culver City Police Department released a statement this week, congratulating their officers for their response to an attempted burglary.
“At 3:30 a.m., CCPD Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm in the 5600 block of Selmarine Drive,” they said. “There were two men with crowbars at the location breaking in and ultimately leaving in a white vehicle.”
Officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle driven by the suspects, initiate a traffic stop, engage in a short pursuit but soon stop them.
“Three suspects were taken into custody without incident,” the CCPD statement reads. “Inside the vehicle, was a safe that was stolen from the business as well as the crowbars used. The suspects were transported to CCPD and booked for burglary.”
The pictures provided show the safe and crowbars inside the suspect vehicle.
Juveniles cited following burglary and collision
A statement from the Culver City Police Department released on Sunday, September 24, said that officers responded to a burglary from a vehicle that occurred in the 6400 Green Valley Circle area.
“The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a red Infiniti sedan,” the CCPD said. “CCPD Officers quickly responded and located the suspect vehicle in the area of Green Valley Circle and Bristol Parkway. When Officers initiated a traffic stop, the suspect vehicle failed to yield and a short vehicle pursuit ensued.”
According to the police, the suspect vehicle hit a control box, after which four juvenile suspects were taken into custody.
“Based on the traffic collision, the juveniles were taken to a local hospital as a precaution,” the CCPD said. “The juveniles were subsequently cited and released to their parents.”
