The Culver City Police Department released a report last week stating that, on Monday, July 10, two people were involved in the assault and robbery of an 80-year-old woman at around 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of First Citizens Bank, 10784 Jefferson Blvd.
“Officers arrived on scene and met with the victim who explained that she had just left First Citizen Bank when she was robbed of her purse,” reads the press release. “The victim reported that a female suspect attempted to distract her as she entered her vehicle. The victim was suddenly approached by the male suspect who struck her several times in the face, and took her purse, then both fled in the getaway vehicle.”
Culver City Fire Department treated the woman, currently unnamed, on scene.
The CCPD is asking that anyone with information related to this crime should contact Culver City Police Department Public Information Officer, Sergeant Edward Baskaron at 310-253-6316 or the Watch Commander at 310-253-6202.
The female suspect is described as “Hispanic, curly dark brown hair with neutral color clothing.” The male is described as, “Hispanic, with a clean shaved face and curly dark brown hair.”
The suspected vehicle is a “newer gray SUV,” and property taken is: “an orange Michael Kors purse, Motorola cell phone, prescription reading glasses, driving glasses, multiple credit and debit cards, California driver’s license, $600 cash.”
