A fundamentals of baseball summer camp for grades 3 to 8 is coming to Culver City with a start date of June 12 and ending July 14. The camp sessions are managed by the CCHS head varsity baseball coach, and the camp coaches are comprised of current and former CCHS varsity baseball players.
The camp will cover the basic skills of throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, bunting, base running, and instructional games.
The low coach/player ratio ensures that each player will receive personal attention while having fun improving his baseball skills.
Camp Hours: drop off at 8:45 a.m., instruction hours are from 9 a.m. to 1:50 p.m., and pick up by 2 p.m.
The cost for four one-week sessions is $135 each, and for one three day-session is $81. Payment arrangements are available for multiple weeks. The five session dates are June 12-16; June 19-23; June 26-30; July 5-7; and July 10-14. Items campers will need are lunch, water bottle, gloves (fielding and batting), baseball pants or shorts, hat, sun block, turf shoe, tennis shoe, or rubber cleats (no metal cleats).
Parents should submit registration by June 2 for planning and staffing purposes. There is a $25 non-refundable fee, forfeited from paid registration, for cancelations received less than seven days prior to each camp week. The baseball camps will be held on the baseball field behind Culver City High, on Harter Street.
