Crime blotter: July 12-19

Assault

            A man reported on July 12, at 1:38 p.m., that he was struck in the face by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend on July 8, at 7 p.m. in the 12700 block of Washington Boulevard.

Car Burglary

            A woman reported that her 2007 Chevrolet parked and locked car in the 5600 block of Sepulveda Blvd. was broken into on July 12. She parked her car at 2:20 p.m. and on her return to the car at 2:50 p.m., she found her third-row seat and cell phone missing.

Attempt Burglary

            On July 12, at 10:20 a.m., in the 11400 block of Washington Boulevard, officers met for an attempted burglary investigation, where a man said he locked and secured his front door on July 9, at 6 p.m., but returned on July 12, at 10 a.m. and discovered his lock had been tampered with and an attempt had apparently been made open the door.

Car Burglary

             A 2007 Cadillac was reported burglarized on July 14, at 6 p.m. The car was parked and locked in the 5100 block of Pickford Way on July 11, at 3:20 p.m., and upon the owner’s return on July 14, at 1:50 p.m., it was discovered that property was removed from the vehicle.

Attempt Residential Burglary

            On July 15, at 2:20 a.m. in the 6500 block of Green Valley Circle, officers met for a burglary investigation with a woman who reported that at 2 a.m., she discovered her front door has been damaged and slightly forced inward although she had locked and secured her residence at 9 p.m.

 

Vandalism

            On July 17, at 11:40 a.m., a man reported his truck had been vandalized. The truck was parked in the 11300 block of Malat Way on July 16, at 3 p.m., but when returning the next day at 11:30 a.m., his truck was discovered spray-painted.
