Culver-Palms Meals on Wheels hosted its annual business meeting and volunteer recognition luncheon on Wednesday at the Westchester Municipal Building Meeting Room. Fifty-five volunteers and staff were recognized for their hard work
Service recognition gifts were presented to volunteers who had completed one, five, and 15 years of service. Pam Frieden, executive director of the organization, expressed her appreciation to the luncheon attendees for their dedication and service.
In addition to the luncheon, volunteers were previously honored with special treats during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, April 16-20.
Every month, Culver Palms Meals on Wheels delivers more than 1,700 hot, nutritious and affordable meals to persons confined to their homes due to illness, accident, convalescence or age. With the help of volunteers, meals and friendship are delivered to those in need.
The event was catered by Mrs. Garcia’s Catering.
For more than 44 years, Culver Palms Meals on Wheels has been serving the homebound living in the area between Pico Blvd. and LAX and from La Cienega to the coast.
