To the Editor:

Either Kat Michels is an incredible cultural snob or I am an incredible cultural moron. (Drink and Stink is high point of western show, Oct. 13, 2011.) My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the variety show with the background story that Michels described in such detail as to be a spoiler. Why does there have to be a point? Why can’t the show be enjoyed for the music, which was sometimes demented and spanned several music styles? Why is a talking tiger in a Baghdad zoo more critically praiseworthy than a singing mountain lion? All I know is that for once I didn’t fall asleep, even though I’d been up since 4 a.m. and attended an evening show. We also thought the theater lobby activities during intermission were amusing and fun.
