Dear editor,
Laura Chardiet has what it takes to be an effective member of the school board. She has been a classroom teacher, a school administrator, managed a $15 million budget for Los Angeles Unified School District, served in too many volunteer capacities to name and is a parent of Culver City students. She will hit the ground running.
I have had the pleasure of working with Laura on the PTA. She has great ideas, a quick mind and the drive and energy to get things done, and always with great humor.
Most importantly, in these tough economic times, it is essential that we elect someone who understands budgets, can approach problems creatively, analyze them thoroughly and prioritize effectively. Chardiet has that special set of skills and has demonstrated her passion for our kids, our schools and our community time and time again.
I hope you will join me in voting for Laura Chardiet.
