Residential burglary:

About 8 p.m. on Dec. 13, officers responded to the 4100 block of Albright Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers arrived and met with the victim, who said he said his roommate left the residence at 8:45 a.m. and locked the location. He arrived at 7 p.m. and discovered his residence had been ransacked and his property missing. It appears the suspect(s) entered through a bedroom window.

Car burglary:

About 8:15 a.m. on Dec. 13, a victim called the police department to report that his 2006 Ford truck had been burglarized. He said he parked and locked his truck in the 10700 block of Jefferson Boulevard at midnight and when he returned at 8 a.m., he discovered the rear window had been broken and his property was missing.

Robbery:

About 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 14, officers responded to the 9400 block of Culver Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. They arrived and met with the reporting party, who said she was at her work station when a suspect approached her handed her a note, demanding money from her. She gave the him the money and he fled the location. He was described as a male Hispanic in his early to late 20s, 5 feet 6 inches, heavy-set, and wearing a white sweatshirt.

Identity theft:

On Dec. 16, about 5 p.m., a victim came to the police department to report that she was a victim of identity theft. She said someone had used her Social Security Number to fraudulently file taxes. She discovered the crime when she applied for a passport and was denied.

Robbery:

About 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 18, officers responded to the 5400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. They met with the victim, who said he was working behind the counter when a gunman entered the location. The gunman approached and pointed a handgun at him and demanded money from the cash drawer. The gunman fled after being given the money. He was described as a black man with a medium build, 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
