Bank robber at large

Culver City police are seeking the public’s help in finding a bank robber.

Just before 3 p.m. on December 19, 2011, a man entered U.S. Bank at 5399 Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City, approached a teller and demanded cash. The teller gave “an undetermined amount of money” to the man, who then fled the bank into the parking lot, a police spokesman said.

Police did not say if the man had a weapon or if even he mentioned to the teller the prospect of his having a weapon.

The robber was described as a black man, 30-35 years old, between 6 feet and 6 feet two inches tall, with a medium build, wearing eye glasses, a black leather jacket and gray beanie, and carrying a black laptop computer bag.

Anyone with any questions and/or information was encouraged to contact Detective Bellante at (310) 253-6311 or the Culver City Police Department watch commander at (310) 253-6202.
