“The feedback from the community has been very positive,” said classic director Michael Oxley.  “The idea is to get one or two players from a lot of schools from all over the area north of the Los Angeles International Airport.”

The cost of admission is $3 and the game is being sponsored by Victory Custom Athletics. Local players who normally do not get publicity and exposure that the South Bay and Valley players get want to play in this classic.

“The Division I and II schools rarely recruit from this area,” said Oxley.  “The more opportunity they have to be seen the more opportunity they have to play at the next level.”

Artie Harris, the first baseball coach at West Los Angeles College will throw out the first ball.  Batting practice will start at 1 p.m. and the pre-game activities will start at 2 p.m.
