Crime Blotter for July 30th through Aug. 5th.
Residential Burglary:
On July 31 at 9:56 a.m., officers responded to the 5200 block of Purdue Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she left her residence locked and secured at 8:25 a.m. Her daughter’s boyfriend returned at 9:25 a.m. and discovered the rear sliding door opened and the residence had been ransacked.
Vandalism:
On July 31 at 9:40 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her 2003 Ford had been vandalized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 6400 block of Warner Drive at 8 p.m. When she returned at 9:30 p.m. she discovered her front passenger window had been smashed out.
Residential Burglary:
On Aug. 3 at 5:48 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Keystone Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following: The victim said she closed her garage door at 10 a.m., and when she returned a few hours later discovered the side door open and when she checked the interior noticed her daughter’s bicycle missing.
Theft:
On Aug. 3 at 8:50 p.m., a victim called the police department to report a theft from her business. The reporting party said a customer came into the business located in the 3800 block of Overland Avenue and requested to look at an item for purchase. The reporting party retrieved the item and brought it back to the counter. The suspect said it was not right item, the reporting party went back to retrieve to get the correct item. When the reporting party returned she discovered the suspect had taken the item and fled the location.
Stolen Vehicle:
On Aug. 5 at 7:50 a.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of Green Valley Circle regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who them the following: she said her husband had parked and locked his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle on Aug. 1 at 9 p.m. When he returned on Aug. 5 at 7:30 a.m. his motorcycle was missing.
