Adat Shalom Synagogue at the corner of Westwood and National is pleased announce the Fall Open House, Sunday, August 19 from 10 a.m. – Noon. Parents and children from 2 years old through seventh grade are invited to come tour the school, meet the faculty and staff, and get to know Michael Raileanu, Hebrew School Director, new ECC Director, Joanie Charnow, and Rabbi Arye Berk
The school year is fast approaching and families face the difficult decision of where to send their child for those all-important pre-school years and exactly in whom to put their trust for religious and cultural education. Adat Shalom, located at 3030 Westwood Blvd, is a welcoming and warm community with educational programs designed around each child and with professional staff dedicated to each child’s well-being and long-term growth. At the Open House parents and children will be invited to go to the classes, interact with their teachers, and see for themselves why the education offered at Adat Shalom is an investment that will pay dividends for a lifetime.
Also in attendance will be Rabbi Arye Berk, the new spiritual leader of the Adat Shalom community. When asked about education, Rabbi Berk recently said, “We create a foundation of Torah, Hebrew, and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) all mixed with the love and support of a wonderful community here at Adat Shalom.”
“I have come to L.A. from Phoenix to bring my love of Judaism, its values and ethics, to the children of the Westside. I am very excited about this new opportunity,” said Charnow of the ECC position she assumed on August 1.
Light refreshments will be served and children must be accompanied by an adult.
